FAQs FAQs - Needles, Threads & Findings What size needle should I use? I prefer using a size 10 needle because I can't stand a bent needle! I also buy a very inexpensive brans called "Pony" but I know beaders who swear by the English needles. Many beaders prefer a size 12 which is smaller than a 10. As you may have guessed, the larger the size the smaller the needle! You can probably cause more contriversy among beaders with this question than any other! I prefer Silamide for almost all my projects and I can't abide Nymo.
