Home  What's New  Beadwork SUZANNE'S HANDY DANDY PEYOTE STARTING STRIP - MEASURING TAPE FREE PATTERN Use this strip to start your Flat Peyote pieces easily. It also is useful to measure how many beads it will take to go around an object, etc. To use the strip you will attach a "stopper bead" and begin weaving as usual. When you make the first turn just skip over the bead on the starting strip and keep beading. Don't worry about the extra thread because you will remove it later. When you get ready to remove your piece just cut off the starting bead and gently, gently pull the piece away from the starting strip. You may have to clip the thread occasionally but it will come apart.
