BACK DRIVING IN IRELAND 4 Images  Driving in Ireland is an experience not to be forgotten! First of all you have to drive on the left side of the road. Coop folded his 6' 2" body into the small Nissan set out from Galway with an unsure look on his face. Coop did very well for the first 14 1/2 minutes! Let's just say that things went slightly wrong at 14 3/4 minutes! A car came toward us so he decided to give the car a little bit more room, forgetting that there are no shoulders on the majority of highways. This part of the highway (as do most parts) had a rock wall about 6" from the edge of the pavement. Coop pulled over 6 1/4" to give the oncoming car more room. KABOOM!!!! All I could see was rock wall coming toward me. As you can imagine I let out a stream of very short words! Somewhere in Ireland there is a rental Nissan with a newly decorated front side!  Somewhere in Ireland there is a rental Nissan with a newly decorated back side!  And somewhere in Ireland there is a newly decorated rock wall.
