Help save Planet Earth. It
might be the only one with chocolate!
I need to find a beader who sent me some Victorian beadwork
pieces. If you are reading this please e-mail me. My mail
program crashed and I lost most of my saved e-mails.
Oh, how I love our beautiful fall days in Santa Fe! The trees
are turning glorious colors, the green chiles are roasting all
over town and the smell of pinon burning in the fireplaces perfume
the night air. This is as close to Heaven as one can get without
dying!
The last weekend in September I went to Glorietta (in the
mountains 16 miles from Santa Fe) for four days of beading, talking
and eating with friends who met on-line years ago. This was the
12th Annual Prodigy Bead/Chile Fiesta. We had beaders from as
far away as Chicago, Cape Cod and Los Angeles. Our tradition
is to teach one another new projects and techniques. I'm ready
to have another retreat now!
I finally finished the purse for my granddaughter Allison
to carry to her wedding reception. White on white is not easy
to do! It's also not easy to photograph to put it mildly. I have
a photo
here.
I bought Sherry
Serafini and Heidi
Kumli's new book "Art of Bead Embroidery" and started
my first embroidered collar. It's a great book and I thought
for sure I'd make a collar just as beautiful as the ones they
make. So far I'm not doing very well. Sigh. Guess one has to
do more than just read a book!
Till the next time, bead well.
