How nice to know that I'm not the only one who beads wherever
she goes! If you have a photo of youself beading in strange places
NEAR OR FAR or in unusual situations please send them and join
the other Traveling Beaders!
Mary Heimerman wrote: This is my son Matt Heimerman. He loves
to bead too! This fishing trip up to Crystal Reservoir on Pikes
Peak in Colorado didn't catch many fish, but Matt & I made
some pretty stuff while we were there.
Ah, the beauty of the Charles Bridge in Prague!
One of the most wonderful sites in the world and
is doing the proper thing... she is beading, of course!
Molly Tafoya of Aunt
Molly's Bead Street said it all when she wrote "I was
telling the gals at the Monday night bead chat that I get most
of my beading done on the toilet these days, and they seemed
a little skeptical (imagine that -- D'OH!) So, my friend took
pictures, and now I've got proof!"
says "I'm traveling from my sewing room in the garage, back
into the house. I take my beading and/or sewing back and forth;
spending the days in the garage and the nights in front of the
TV with my dear, napping, husband." Look at Shirlee's necklace,
it's the Lemonade Limited Edition necklace!
says "This is a picture of me in my "little
rv" (it's so small that it doesn't get capital letters)
camping over Easter weekend. I'm working on a moose amulet bag
that was the first real piece that I sold! My husband and I drove
north of Detroit, about 45 miles, and camped on the St. Clair
river (of course in April it was really cold). He fished, I beaded
and life is always good."
has her priorities straight! She would never let a temple
from ancient Siam distract her from her beads!
(left) and her family traveled from Seattle to Phoenix
to watch their beloved baseball team during spring training.
While the rest of the family seems to be involved in the game
Charlene is busy beading! Perhaps we should write a new song
for this occasion.... "Take me out to the Bead Game, buy
me some charlottes and Delicas........"
travel destination is not far from home... actually just out
her kitchen door, in the swimming pool. She put her beads on
a tray and floats it on a foam lounger, making a great floating
table. Glenn says "Living in Chandler, AZ, just south of
Phoenix our summer days get hot..today it was 105, and one way
for me to cool off and still be productive is to bead in the
pool."
Sarah Merchant (green shirt) was a freshman in
high school when she visited Belize in Central America. Sarah
taught the Mayan Indians American Indian beadwork and she learned to
do Mayan beadwork. Visit
Sarah's web site.
Sarah did take a little time out of teaching beading
to go fishing. Rumor has it that she tried to cover the fish
with beads using the Huichol method! This is merely a rumor,
of course and I have no idea who starts these things!
